Associated Well Services is looking for a Welder & Fabricator who can build, repair, and install the metal components that keep our operations moving. This role supports water well drilling, service, construction, and facility needs across the company.
This is not a shop-only welding role. You will split time between fabrication work in the shop and field work at customer and project sites. You must be ready to measure, fit, weld, troubleshoot, and adapt when field conditions require practical solutions.
If you want a role where your work matters, your skill is respected, and you are expected to own the result from fabrication through field installation, this is it.
To prepare for success in this role, field work is expected as a regular part of the job. Travel to project sites, outdoor work, changing weather, and coordination with our teams are all part of this position.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

Perform welding and metal fabrication for repairs, equipment, structural supports, skids, piping components, and custom field solutions.

Read drawings, sketches, and field measurements to cut, fit, assemble, and weld components accurately.

Travel to job sites to install, modify, and repair fabricated items in the field.

Work alongside drilling, service, construction, and controls teams to complete project scopes safely and efficiently.

Maintain tools, welding equipment, and work areas while following AWS safety standards.

Communicate material needs, field issues, and fabrication concerns before they affect the job.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experienced in welding and fabrication, with confidence in MIG and stick welding; TIG experience is a plus.

Able to read a tape, interpret drawings, solve problems, and produce clean, durable work.

Comfortable working both in a shop environment and in outdoor field conditions.

Dependable, safety-minded, and willing to take ownership of quality and follow-through.

A team member who can adapt, communicate well, and represent AWS professionally on job sites.
Previous experience in construction, utilities, water well service, or field installation is preferred, but attitude, craftsmanship, and dependability matter most. The standard matters more than the resume.
